Numbers and Money in Greek

Greece uses the euro, and numbers and money in Greek go hand in hand. Now that you know the numbers one through ten, start using them to talk about money. I’ll show you how in this post.

The Euro Basics

The word for euro in Greek is ευρώ. You say it like “evró.” The euro splits into 100 cents, called λεπτά, or “leptá.”

Asking the Price

When asking how much something costs, say: Πόσο κάνει; It sounds like “póso káni?” This phrase means “how much does it cost?”
