Thank you for visiting SpeakGreek. Your trust matters to me, so this page clearly explains what information this website collects, why, and what choices you have.
Who We Are
This website is SpeakGreek, at https://speakgreek.app. It is run by BlueDiamond Incentives LLC. If you have any questions about your privacy, you can email us at speakgreekapp@gmail.com.
What We Collect and Why
When You Join Our Email List
If you sign up for our free Greek Phrase Guide or our emails, we collect your email address and, if you share it, your first name. We use this only to send you the guide, new blog posts, and SpeakGreek news. Our email list is managed by Mailchimp (Intuit Mailchimp), which stores this information for us and tells us whether our emails are opened or clicked.
You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email. We never sell or rent your email address.
When You Leave a Comment
If you leave a comment, we collect what you type in the comment form (your name, email, and any website you enter), along with your IP address (your internet connection’s number) and browser type. This helps us stop spam. Your email address is never shown publicly. Comments may be kept for as long as the post is online.
Website Visit Statistics
We use Jetpack Stats, a service from Automattic, to count visits and see which posts are popular. This helps us write more of what you enjoy. These numbers are counted together, and we do not use them to find out who you are.
Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser saves. If you leave a comment, your browser may save your name and email so you don’t have to type them again next time. These cookies last about one year. Our statistics and email tools may also use cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
Videos, Pictures, and Content From Other Sites
Some posts may include videos or other content from other websites. That content works as if you visited the other website directly, and those websites may collect information about you under their own privacy policies.
The SpeakGreek App and Payments
If you buy the SpeakGreek app, your payment is handled securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe’s own privacy policy explains how they protect your payment information.
Who We Share Your Information With
We only share information with the trusted services that help run this website, such as Mailchimp (emails), Automattic and Jetpack (statistics), our web host Namecheap EasyWP, and Stripe (payments). We do not sell your personal information to anyone.
Your Choices and Rights
- You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time.
- You can ask us what information we have about you.
- You can ask us to correct or delete your information.
To do any of these, just email speakgreekapp@gmail.com, and we will gladly help.
Children’s Privacy
SpeakGreek is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has shared information with us, please email us and we will delete it.
Keeping Your Information Safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including spam protection and secure services. No website can promise perfect security, but we do our best to keep your information safe.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this page from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top.
